I spent 15 nights here. My husband and I usually stay in high-end chains and checked in here just for one night with the intention of finding something 'better' once we were in the area. But when we saw the place we fell in love with the vintage architecture, the awesome heated pool, the newly renovated and spacious rooms w/kitchenette, and the manager Debbie. She has coffee and snacks available in her office at 7am (and man, I'm gonna miss that). Debbie is just so helpful and kind. This time of year, the pool area is decked out in inflatable Christmas decor. I requested a 1st-floor room, so nightly I slept with my blinds open just so I could wake to see the Santa riding a Flamingo. And the onsite restaurant has the most amazing meatball sub I've ever had; my pizza-aficionado husband swooned over the pizza. You will not regret staying here. I'm a beach person rather than a pool person HOWEVER while this hotel has very easy access to the gorgeous beach, I found that I far preferred the pool. I can't wait to come back here. It's made me rethink high-end hotels because this place is charm, happiness, cozy, convenient, and personable.

We stayed at Malibu Resort from December 29- Jan 2 and we had the best stay. The rooms are great and we love the pool and new beach area around the pool. Deb and the staff are absolutely wonderful! The hospitality they showed us was top notch! This wasn't our fist stay here and it will not be our last. Deb has done a great job overseeing the renovations after the hurricane.

The place is very comfortable, clean and an easy walk across the street to the beach. The rooms have been remodeled very nicely. I like having the larger refrigerator in the room when you stay awhile you fill the small ones to quickly. The bed was more comfortable then my own. The shower has great water pressure (alot of places don't) The staff was so friendly as if they were family. The registration desk every morning had fresh coffee with so many choices of creamers. That was such a great touch! The pool water was warm and clean and beautifuly lit up at night. The chairs outside the room doors were nice to relax outside of your room and you get to meet and talk with your neighbors. I will definitely look to stay at the Malibu Beach Resort if a I get to that area again. Thanks, Vic Rodrigues

We had a great 1 night stay at the Malibu Resort Motel. The location is fantastic, just across the street from a beautiful beach with easy crosswalk access. The check-in was very easy with self-service making it extremely quick to access our room. The pool area is very nice with a grill and "sandy beach". The morning coffee and creamer selection was a nice touch. Our room was very clean and nicely updated. One downside is there are a lot of bright lights outside and the curtains are not very heavy so there was some light inside the room overnight. Overall we would definitely return in a future visit to the area.

What a delightful experience!!!! Cutest little motel right across from the beach!!!! The owner and all the staff were entirely pleasant. Room was clean and the bed was pretty comfy! They have a grill so we were able to make dinner there. The pool was nice and heated. The Christmas lights they have put up right now are absolutely ADORABLE, great for a quick lil family picture, and the Fettichini Carbonara from the restaurant is fantastic! Will def be staying again.

Had such a fun getaway. We are locals and decided to get a room on the beach for our anniversary. This motel is so quaint and cozy. Felt like I was stepping back in time to old Florida. Rooms were very clean. Pool was wonderful. We had such a good experience and will be back for more staycations.

We stayed here for a friends wedding. Room was decent size. Nice furniture but nothing fancy. Our bathroom was very outdated and could've been a little cleaner for my liking as I found many hairs throughout the bathroom. The shower was great. Very hot and plenty of pressure and had a deep tub but looks like it had been redid and is now peeling so i didnt choose to use it. When shower was ran upstairs it was so loud in our bathroom. Grounds were very well kept. Sadly we didnt have time to use the pool but heard it was heated. The windows are vintage and so neat but... we could hear everything from outside. The location was perfect as there was a beach access very close by. Few restaurants in walking distance. There is only one parking spot per room so note that. We would return but possibly stay on top floor or we will be sure to pick a renovated room as shown on their website. I did like that there was communication thru text.

We really enjoyed our stay. A lot of TLC has been put into this place and it's located almost next door to some of the most fantastic beach sunsets you could hope to find. It's a very attractive, well renovated 50s/60s hotel/motel complete with outdoor pool and a high-end pizza and wine restaurant attached. The hotel manager, Debbie, is a very talented (brilliant) interior and exterior designer and whoever owns this place is lucky to have such a team member, as it seems she can do it all. The dedicated manager works from early morning to night making the place attractive, with great help from excellent housekeepers and able maintenance men.The Malibu Resort Motel looks and feels like a little slice of heaven with a white sand beach right across the street and all kinds of activities (bars, restaurants, shopping, pirate mini golf) nearby. If it were a franchise, I am sure the MRM would blow the competition away but what you get here is a unique and colorful vacation experience.
